The M-Wave chainring for Bosch drivetrains of the first and third generation as well as Brose drivetrains is specially designed for use on e-bikes. With e-bikes, chain, chainring and pinions transfer the high driving forces on the rear wheel and are therefore subjected to high stress and excessive wear. The higher weight of bikes with electric assistance also contributes to this. Even with good maintenance of all components, they need to be exchanged after a certain period.
